Panchakarma - a deep cleansing cure for body and mind
Panchakarma is Ayurveda's most powerful cleansing and restorative treatment. Through a combination of individualized treatments, herbs, diet and daily routines, we help you to clear out deep toxins, strengthen the body and calm the mind.
What is panchakarma?
A powerful Ayurvedic cleansing cure designed for life in the North
Panchakarma is a path back to lightness, clarity and calm, where you can rest, cleanse and rebuild from within. It is a traditional Ayurvedic purification and healing cure that aims to restore balance in body and mind by removing ama (toxins and waste products) and balancing the doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha). With us, it is done with warmth, presence, experienced guidance and an approach adapted to our climate and everyday life in the Nordic region.
How does it work?
A 10-12 day detox guided by our Ayurvedic doctor and treatment therapist
From health advice and herbal detox to healing and customized treatments, our pachakarma offers everything you need for a deep restoration.
Day 01
Health advice with an Ayurvedic doctor
The program begins with a 90-minute personal online consultation with our Ayurvedic doctor, Dr. Tejal. In conversation with you, she determines what needs to be balanced and then puts together a plan for detox, herbs, lifestyle changes and any other advice. The conversation can be held in English or Swedish.
Day 01-05
Tailored detox guide & herbs
You will receive a clear detox plan with recipes, daily routines and Ayurvedic herbs (worth 500 kr) to strengthen and support your body throughout the process.
Day 01-05
Support, advice and guidance
During the detox, you will be personally guided by our doctor via email or call (5 × 30 minutes) so that you feel safe and supported all the way.
Day 06-10
In-depth treatments for 3 or 5 days
Over three or five days, you'll receive treatments that are tailored to your body and current condition. How many you need is determined in consultation with Dr. Tejal, and depends on how deep your imbalances are. Each treatment lasts 2-2.5 hours. During the treatment days, the therapist and doctor have daily check-ups so that the doctor can follow the healing process and make recommendations for the next day's treatments.
Day 11-12
Return visit with doctor
The program ends with a feedback session with Dr. Tejal. Here you will get advice on how to support your body on the way back from the detox, for example which herbs and routines you can continue with.

"Now I feel more alert again"
You don't have to travel to India to experience the power of Panchakarma
Many people associate Panchakarma with long journeys to India, but the truth is that you don't have to leave the Nordic countries to get the same profound effects. On the contrary, it may be more beneficial to implement the cure here at home.
Traveling to India often means a sudden change in climate - from cool, humid Nordic air to tropical heat. This kind of change can disrupt your body, weaken your digestion and make it harder to integrate the results when you return.
At the Ayurvedic Center, you will receive Panchakarma adapted to our climate and living conditions, in an environment where your body feels safe. In this way, the effect can be better anchored and you can bring new habits and routines directly into your everyday life

The answers to your questions
Panchakarma is Ayurveda's most comprehensive cleansing regimen. It is a process that helps the body to cleanse toxins, balance the doshas and create new vitality - physically, mentally and emotionally.
It is not a quick fix, but an in-depth approach that can have long-lasting effects such as better digestion, increased energy, improved sleep and inner clarity. Many describe it as a fresh start for the whole system.
The program lasts several days and combines individually tailored treatments, herbs, diet and daily routines. Each treatment takes about 2-2.5 hours and is performed at our center in Malmö.
Everything is done sequentially - for the best effect, you cannot skip days and you are advised to rest after each treatment. You can certainly work in the meantime, but make sure you give yourself space to recover.
Yes, many people work during the program. However, you need to allow space for recovery and are advised to rest after each treatment. Times are planned individually and we also offer evenings and weekends.
The treatments are performed at the Ayurvedic Center in Malmö.
Dr. Tejal decides which treatments and oils are used, in close consultation with our therapists.
Scheduling is done individually - we can offer appointments even in the evenings and at weekends.
No treatments are carried out during the period, but other parts of the program can continue.
No, we do not. We follow Swedish legislation for alternative care. We can support the body in parallel with hospital care, but we do not treat cancer or other diseases ayurvedically.
Traditionally 7-21 days. Much of the time is managed from home and you come to the center for treatments 3 or 5 days of the full program.
It can be challenging as the body clears out, but the effect is deeply healing and always supervised by therapists. Panchakarma is a powerful process that requires some strength. Therefore, we always start with a health consultation. If the body needs to be strengthened first, we can provide alternative treatment, so that you can be ready later on.
No, it isn't. Ayurveda is about small, sustainable steps. After the program, you will receive advice that you can continue to implement in life in a long-term and sustainable way.
Yes, many people choose to do it annually as a “big clean” for body and mind. At the Ayurvedic Center, we offer panchakarma in the spring and during the shift between summer and fall, before winter comes.
The whole program is led by Dr. Tejal, Ayurvedic doctor and specialist in Panchakarma. She has lived in Sweden for 15 years, speaks Swedish and has extensive experience of both our climate and our most common health problems.
