The training for those who want to work with Ayurvedic therapy - with a quality-assured education in the back

In this 200-hour diploma course, you will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge of Ayurvedic therapy, as well as the skills to perform 10 classic Ayurvedic treatments. The course is led by experienced teachers and gives you a solid foundation to stand on as an Ayurvedic treatment therapist. The course is quality assured and approved by the Association of Body Therapists. Start September 2025.

About the course

We start the course with an introduction to Ayurveda with a special focus on the therapeutic part - that is, how Ayurvedic knowledge is used in treatment and body therapy. Then we go step by step through ten classic Ayurvedic treatments, where you get both theoretical background and practical training.

Treatments included

• Abhyanga (full body oil massage, 60/90 min)
• Garshan (dry massage with silk mittens)
• Vishesh (deeper, powerful massage)
• Basti (oil treatment with dough roller for specific areas)
• Nasyam (nasal treatment with oil)
• Kati chikitsa (treatment for low back pain)
• Swedana (sweat treatment with steam or heat)
• Shirodhara (sprinkling of hot oil over the pan)
• Shiroabhyanga (head, neck and shoulder massage)
• Kizhi (treatment with herb packets)

What are the arrangements?

The course is spread over 8 blocks, 8 weekends. During the course we will focus on the theory of the different treatments and work with the practical execution of the different treatments. This means that you will both have the opportunity to give treatment and receive treatment during the course. Much of the learning and understanding of the different treatments lies in being allowed to receive and experience the feeling of the treatment yourself. During the course, you are responsible for planning and performing at least 50 student treatments. 

It will be possible to hire appointments for student treatments at the center.

Maximum 6 participants per course.

The course is quality assured and approved by Professional Association of Body Therapists. This means that:

• You and your student clients are insured throughout the training
• You will be eligible to apply for membership of the association after completion of the course

This is a complete training program that gives you the knowledge and skills you need to start working as an Ayurvedic therapist.

Price: SEK 31 500 (incl. VAT)
The price includes course materials and some of the treatment materials.
You can choose to pay the full amount directly or per course block.

Please note that the course is offered as a complete program - it is not possible to participate in individual parts. Registration is binding.
