Abhyanga + Marma, 120 min

About the treatment

Do you feel that your body carries tensions that are difficult to put into words, or that something still resists despite rest and recovery? Abhyanga with Marma is an advanced Ayurvedic treatment where the classic full-body massage is complemented by gentle work on the body’s marmapoints (energy points) – areas where muscles, nerves, blood vessels, joints, and life energy meet.

The treatment always begins with a warm Abhyanga to soften the tissues, calm the nervous system and prepare the body. After that, the therapist works with selected marmapoints based on your needs and the imbalances that exist at the moment. The combination makes the treatment both powerful and gentle at the same time.

In Ayurveda, marmapoints are used to support the body’s natural flow and create better communication between the body and the mind. Once the body has relaxed through Abhyanga, the marmapoint treatment often becomes both deeper and more harmonious. Therefore, we always offer marmapoint as a complement to an oil treatment – never as a standalone treatment.

This treatment may be a good option if you experience:

– Long-standing tensions
– Stress or mental strain
– A feeling that the body is ”stuck”
– Recurring pain without a clear cause
– Fatigue or low energy
– Need for more individual and in-depth treatment
– The feeling that both the body and the mind need support
