An immersive training in authentic postpartum care rooted in Southeast Asian tradition
On July 25th, we welcome you to a full-day masterclass in traditional Malay belly binding – bengkung – here at Ayurvediskt Center in Malmö. The training is led by Aïscha from Mara Ina Academy and hosted in collaboration with Team Boss Birth.
Bengkung is not just a technique – it is part of a holistic postpartum system encompassing structured rest, traditional massage, plant medicine, heat therapies, and community care. This masterclass offers a deep dive into postpartum support grounded in cultural integrity and ancestral wisdom.
The training includes:
- Virtual prerequisite course on July 18th (mandatory)
- Full-day in-person masterclass on July 25th at Skeppsbron 5, Malmö
- Hands-on practical guidance and herbal applications
- Printed training manual, lunch, tea, jamu drink & nourishing snacks
- Certificate of attendance and credited hours toward the Urut Isiwa Postpartum Practitioner training
This course is suitable for: midwives, doulas, massage therapists, yoga practitioners, expecting and new parents, and anyone with an interest in womb-centered care.
